It was a really casual interview, and they offered me the job right away. If you've got serving experience, it's pretty straightforward. I did notice they hired some high schoolers, so a good manager will definitely give you a chance.

The interview process went well. I met with the CEO and the Director of Operations for an in-person interview. We discussed the vision for the company and understood our current position and future direction. The process was fast, and they really tried to get to know me.

I went in during their posted walk-in interview times. The restaurant was dead, which was nice. I like to feel comfortable and speak at a normal tone, not yell. I told the hiring manager I'd done everything except bartend and cook. I was applying to be a waitress, but they were full and I needed a job. She asked if I wanted to be a cook since they don't serve alcohol. I said 'you did just hear me right?' I've never cooked, but I'd accept to expand my resume. I said 'No problem. Give me a couple o' days and I'm sure I'll get the gist.' She responded 'it's a FOUR WEEK training process.' I said 'Even better. Then give me four weeks then.'

I was waiting at a table, and then the assistant manager asked what position I was interested in. He gave me some papers to fill out and told me to come back another day for the next part. When I returned, the manager asked when I could start. I said as soon as possible. He also asked about my future career goals and how long I saw myself working there. I think I got the job because I could start immediately, I speak Spanish, and I'm looking for full-time work.
