First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IBI Group.
Architect
Started with an online application. Had a virtual chat with HR first. Then went to the office for an in-person interview with some senior folks. Got a tour of the office after that. Later, got emails with more info about the company, like policies and benefits, before they made the official offer.
- Can you describe your experience with client interactions, whether informal like emails or calls, or formal like presentations or meetings, throughout a project lifecycle?

Project Manager
First, I had a sit-down interview with the practice lead and an associate. It was a casual conversation where we discussed my experience and previous roles. Then, I had a brief discussion with the Global Director who clarified expectations around registration as it related to salary.
- Tell me about the projects you've managed before.
- What were the main difficulties you faced in the projects you managed?
- Can you explain the registration expectations concerning salary?
Software Developer
The process had three parts. First, a 30-minute HR screening call where the HR person was super nice and explained everything really well, including details about the upcoming rounds. Then, there was a coding assessment that you had 2 days to complete. This involved questions focused on Data Structures, Algorithms, and SQL, with a mix of difficulty levels (easy, medium, and hard). Finally, a 40-minute technical interview with two team members. It was a chill chat, and they didn't ask for anything too complicated.
- Tell me about yourself and your background.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- What are your salary expectations?
Data Analyst
So where to begin with this one. First interview was an HR screening, I went in for a pretty basic interview but the person interviewing me would not turn their camera on. A little rude, but I didn't think much of it. They directly asked about my salary expectations and refused to give me any sort of range when I said I was flexible and willing to work within the budget for the role. At the end, they said I'd hear back in a few days. I was ghosted for about 3 weeks, then asked to do another screening with a different HR rep. Same as before, they kept their camera off during the interview. I mentioned my previous experience interviewing for the company weeks before and they said they'd follow up with that person, which surprisingly they did! The original recruiter who set up the first interview emailed me back to say the position had closed but there was a similar role I could interview for with the team. I agreed and confirmed a time, but it wasn't until an hour before the interview that I finally got the invite, which mentioned to have a work portfolio ready to discuss. When I brought up the fact that this wasn't mentioned until now (again, an hour before the interview) and I wanted to reschedule to prepare properly, I got a really rude email back. This company is super unprofessional and clearly doesn't value your time or effort. I withdrew my application after that.
