Bank Teller
The interview was conducted via Microsoft Teams. A primary focus was my comfort level with sales targets and actively seeking new business. They inquired about my background, how I would nurture client relationships, and my key strengths. Compensation was discussed, noting a base pay that's on the lower side but includes commission potential.
- Tell me about your strengths.
- Would you be comfortable working towards a sales target?
Administrative Assistant
The process was pretty straightforward. I had an interview where they asked me questions related to the job. I was a bit anxious because it was my first interview after taking family leave, but the interviewer was friendly and understanding.

- Could you share some of your hobbies?

The interview process started in late October with a recruiter call that went well. Then, I had a 30-minute Zoom interview with the hiring manager, which also went smoothly. My in-person interview was initially scheduled for early November but was canceled and rescheduled about an hour before it was supposed to start. I was pretty frustrated because I had to take time off work. It was rescheduled for about a week later and went well. During this interview, the hiring manager mentioned they were changing the role and wanted to confirm I'd be okay with it. They asked about my experience and how I'd fit with the team. Around Thanksgiving, the recruiter said the company was interested but the start date might be delayed due to a job description rewrite. The recruiting company proposed a contract-to-hire option for an earlier start. Over the next few weeks, the hiring manager became unresponsive to the recruiters. I didn't hear back until mid-December, when the recruiter told me the hiring manager was still interested but the job description rewrite wouldn't start until January. It's now late February, and that was the last I heard. Being strung along for months after they said they wanted to hire me has been the worst interviewing experience.
- How would your experience make you a good fit for this role?
- How would you fit in with the team given your experience?
Digital Media Specialist
It took over a month after applying for them to reach out for an interview. The interview was pretty basic. They asked me stuff that wasn't even in the job description, which was weird. I didn't really get to talk much about my experience because they thought I'd be better for a different analytical role. After that, it got awkward, and I just said thanks and left. Maybe next time they should actually put what they need in the job description before people apply.
- Tell me about your Adobe experience.
- Have you done video editing before?
- Do you plan on staying in the area long-term?
