The first interview was a one-on-one with the recruiter at the main office, which was pretty easy given my 3 years of banking experience. The recruiter seemed really interested. The second interview was unexpectedly a group interview. We all found out when we got into the room, and there were 4 of us interviewing for the same role. We started with an icebreaker where we introduced ourselves. Then we moved on to a group assignment where they observed how we interacted. The person with the lowest score didn't get hired, which is how I knew I wasn't going to get an offer because I got the lowest score. The recruiter then spoke to each of us privately. She immediately told me they'd call if I was hired. I sensed I wouldn't get a call based on how she treated me and because no one else was dismissed before me. It felt like she wanted me out so she could discuss pay. All the reviews for this company are bad and they don't pay well. Honestly, don't waste your time interviewing.

I applied on their website and got a call about a week later with some yes/no questions about my interest and availability. Then, they scheduled me for an in-person interview the following Tuesday. Before the interview, I had to fill out a long formal application with a math test. When I arrived, they took the paperwork and I waited. After about 10 minutes, the Area Supervisor and Branch Manager came, they were really friendly and made me feel comfortable. We talked about my personality, availability again, and they asked situational questions requiring STAR responses. I had done my research on the company, which helped me understand their needs. They advised me to smile and be confident. I received a call two days later offering me the position.

Managers from branches across the state came to the main branch for interviews. You'd wait in the lobby until a manager picked up your application and called you in. They'd take you to a different floor for the interview. I got a second interview where the manager said I was overqualified and questioned why someone with my degree was applying for a bank job.
