The interview was conducted via Microsoft Teams. A primary focus was my comfort level with sales targets and actively seeking new business. They inquired about my background, how I would nurture client relationships, and my key strengths. Compensation was discussed, noting a base pay that's on the lower side but includes commission potential.

So, I had this interview for a Bank Teller position. It was with 2 interviewers and the questions were pretty standard and I thought it went fine, until we talked about salary. They told me they offer $7.50 an hour to start, and that I might have to work at different branches, including weekends. I asked if that was negotiable since other banks pay around $10.00, but they said no and that I could make more through bonus incentives. I then talked to a friend who used to work there, and they said the bonus targets are really hard to reach and basically impossible, so I shouldn't count on them. One of the interviewers also mentioned they have a really high turnover rate (which makes sense with that pay). High turnover is a big warning sign for me about the work environment, so I turned down the offer.

I had a phone interview first, and then they scheduled me for an in-person meeting. I was given a math test. After that, I had a one-on-one meeting where they asked me about my past work experience, my availability for shifts, and if I could work weekends.
