I had a phone screen with the recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I went to the headquarters for an in-person interview with the head of the department I would be joining. I also had a second interview with the hiring manager. The TA person was there to greet me.

The interview at Hub Group was pretty standard and professional. They mostly asked about my past work, how I deal with tough stuff, and some situation-based questions. The whole process was simple and clear, not super technical, just a regular interview.

The interviewers didn't turn on their zoom cameras, which I thought was unprofessional and uninviting. They asked me about how I've handled different situations, like stressful times, negotiations, or dealing with upset customers. They also asked a few job-related questions. The overall experience felt uncomfortable due to the interviewers' unfriendly demeanor, making me feel like I couldn't say the right thing. Despite this, I did interview with the capacity planning team, who were friendlier, though they also kept their cameras off.

The recruiter missed our first scheduled interview, which was a bit of a turn-off, though I understand things happen. We rescheduled, and she didn't apologize or acknowledge the missed meeting. During the interview, she really zeroed in on my hotel work and didn't ask anything about my 6 years of logistics experience. When I asked her some questions, she said she didn't know the answers. She ended the call by telling me to email her if I had questions. Since I didn't get to talk about my logistics strengths and she focused on unrelated hotel experience, I figured I wouldn't move forward. I got a rejection email shortly after.
