Administrative Receptionist
- Tell us about your career path.
- Why do you feel you are a good fit for this company?
Customer Service Representative
The interview was pretty laid back and it was via phone. The interviewer was very friendly and the questions were pretty basic. You also had to do a test call while sharing your computer screen, and the interviewer pretended like she was a customer calling in to order something or to make a complaint. As long as you know how to work on a computer (the basic stuff) and you show empathy and friendliness, you will be fine.
- How would you handle an irate customer who got the wrong item just before a major event?
Marketing
So I had an initial phone call with HR, and then there were two rounds of Zoom interviews. The second round actually had two separate calls, so that made it 3 interviews in total. HR was really disorganized throughout. Every interview I had was either scheduled wrong, with the wrong person, or had to be rescheduled because of a conflict. There was a lot of disorganized back and forth, and something went wrong on their end with each step. I even had two different HR people emailing me trying to sort things out. It definitely felt unprofessional and made me question the legitimacy of the company because of it.
- Could you describe your preferred management style?
- How would you describe yourself as a team player?
Photo Studio Producer
So I had like 4 interviews with 4 different team members first and then 1 more with 2 other people. That was 5 interviews in total over 4 weeks. They were pretty standard, like, 'tell me about your experience' and 'why do you want to work here' type questions. The thing that bothered me was that the process felt disorganized and it wasn't clear who was actually making the hiring decision. Some contractor assistants set up all the interviews, so there was no one from the company to follow up with. I ended up finding the interviewers' emails myself to send follow-ups. About a week after the second round of interviews, I got an offer from somewhere else. I was still interested in the HSN job, so I tried to get an update from the person I interviewed with twice, but they never responded. Since I already had another offer, not getting the HSN job was okay, but being ghosted after 5 interviews still really bugs me. Honestly, even an automated email saying I didn't get the job would have been better than just silence after investing so much time talking to different people on the team.
