It was a straightforward interview process. They reviewed my resume and LinkedIn profile to understand my background. They asked me to justify why I included certain skills on my resume. There were only a few rounds, and the atmosphere was friendly.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview with the hiring group and team members. They asked pretty basic questions about college experience and a few situational questions. Most departments will give you an on-the-spot engineering problem to solve, like drawing something in 3D on paper or drawing a free body diagram. Of course, there isn't a right or wrong answer, but they're really looking at your thought process.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was contacted by a temp agency that found my resume. Communication wasn't great, which made things take longer than they should have and caused some confusion. Apparently, I was the only candidate the agency presented that Honda was interested in. It would be much better if Honda posted jobs on their own site and recruited directly. The interview process involved two phone screens, which were lengthy but not too difficult, followed by an onsite panel interview. None of the process was particularly challenging, and the team seemed nice and interested. I never got feedback, so I'm not sure why I didn't get an offer.
