First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HomeSense.
Sales Associate
It was a pretty long interview process, where the HR managers brought in over 100 people on the same day. Most of the questions they asked were related to the job itself. The managers were super patient and nice.
- Can you share details about your previous work experience?
- What are your working hours availability?
Store Associate
I had a quick interview on the day I applied. Then they called me back for another one. The main interview was about 50 minutes and pretty straightforward. They sent me the offer pretty fast after that.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- What steps are you taking to address your weaknesses?
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with conflict.
Cashier
First, there was a phone interview. Then, I went in for an in-person interview where they asked me some basic questions, like why I wanted to work there and for an example of a time I dealt with a workplace scenario.
- Can you share an instance where you handled a challenging customer and describe your actions?
- Tell me about a time you faced a difficult customer and what steps you took.
Sales
I interviewed at Homesense for a sales role. We talked about my interest in the job and some customer service stuff I did. They gave me some hypothetical situations, and I asked about the team and how I could grow. It seemed to go well, and then they made me an offer.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer and what you did to fix it.
