First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hogarth Worldwide.
Manager
I applied on LinkedIn and then they emailed me to pick my availability. After that, I had a phone screener with HR, and then I met the hiring manager. The role was for a pretty new team in the company. They seem like nice people and they do seem like they really want to care about the culture and the health of their people... but talk is cheap and the fact that you kept posting the same thing over and over again (and this isn't my first interview with them), goes to show how disorganized they are. So, ultimately, they can't execute and they're probably just like other agencies who can throw amazing parties but can't deliver what they keep promising.
- Can you tell me about how you handle challenges?
- Could you share some of your past experiences with me?
Account Manager
So the interview process is all online. First you'll have a chat with the talent acquisition team, they'll tell you all about the job and the role. They also want to get to know you better and hear about your background. If that goes well, you'll then have an online interview with the account director.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging client and how you supported them through difficult situations.
Program Coordinator
This position is always reposted. I applied out of curiosity. I can tell everyone they are not interviewing to hire. They are a waste of time. They are interviewing to fill quotas and to put you on a contingency list for projects where they need to check with their client/head for approval before hiring. They will ghost you without a generic message. They also make you fill an extremely vague NDA. There is one phone screening, one interview with the project manager, a second interview with a panel of supervisors, and a third interview with the team. It doesn't matter if they are friendly when they don't have substance and condone horrible practices of stringing people along when they are not hiring.
- Tell me about your background.
- What is your project management experience like?
- How familiar are you with Photoshop?
Director of Production
The interview process was quite simple but took forever to get through. There were huge gaps of silence, and if I hadn't followed up, I would have assumed they'd ghosted me. They repeatedly ignored me and left emails and messages unanswered. I won't tolerate that anymore; treat candidates with respect. Look at your review ratings! They ignored me for 3 months even after I thought I nailed the interview and they said they were really interested in me. After 3 interviews, they sent an email saying they'd gone in a different direction. Really poor communication, a really bad experience, and it shows what kind of company they are – clients and money come first, people and culture are low priority.
- Can you share a challenging experience you've faced?
- What is your approach to managing a team?
- How do you adapt or reset following a significant change?
