The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, I spoke with the VP practice lead where we went over the role details, compensation, and travel reimbursement. Then, I had a ZOOM meeting with the technical team I'd be managing. The interview itself was easy. However, after my US-based manager left and I had to deal with the terrible manager in India, it became the 2nd worst experience of my career.

So, the whole interview thing started with a coding test online. After that, I had a technical interview where they asked me stuff about data structures, OOP, and basic problem-solving. Then, there was also an HR chat where we talked about my background and what I want to do career-wise. It was a pretty organized process, and I'd say it was somewhat tough.

The interview process included an aptitude, reasoning, and puzzle round which was a bit tough. Then there was a communication round that was very easy. After that, a technical interview where they asked core mechanical engineering questions, which I found to be of medium difficulty. Finally, an HR round which was completely about discussing their requirements and agreement constraints. Overall, it was very easy if you cleared the first round itself.

The interview process kicked off with a L1 Technical Round where they dove into core DevOps concepts, how to design CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes. There were also scenario questions about AWS services like EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and EKS, plus infrastructure automation. After that, it was on to the L2 Technical Round, which was a deep-dive scenario-based technical chat. This covered AWS architecture design and troubleshooting, focusing on networking, load balancing, and security best practices. They also went into Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC), covering module creation, variables, workspaces, and state management. Kubernetes deployment automation and its integration with CI/CD were also discussed, along with real-world problem-solving and optimization questions based on live projects. Finally, there was an HR Round to talk about my project experience, what they expect from the role, my current and expected salary, my notice period, and when I could join.
