Flight Attendant
First, I submitted an online application, which was very short and just required my resume. After that, I completed an online assessment. It involved "this or that" type questions asking which statement I'm more likely to agree with, and a multiple-choice section on how I would handle specific situations. I'm scheduled for a pre-recorded interview tomorrow.

Flight Attendant
I applied online for a Korean speaking FA position and got an email invitation for an AI graded interview with 5 questions where I had to film and upload video responses. After about a week, I was invited to a Zoom group interview with about 7 people, including a Korean speaking FA and someone from HR. They asked about my hospitality experience (going above and beyond) and a situation question (wrong special meal given), which I had to answer in Korean. They also had us translate an in-flight announcement from English to Korean. I got an email the same day to schedule an in-person group interview about two weeks later. At the HQ, we did a reach test, then were split into groups with HR and a current FA. We each got a situational question to answer within a minute after reading it. Then, we were divided into smaller groups for a 3-minute discussion on an in-flight situation, and one person presented. We then got an escalated situation and another person presented. That same afternoon, I got an email with the date for the final interview. The final interview was with HR and an in-flight management team, focusing on my resume and experiences, similar to the Zoom interview. I got to ask questions, then waited for the language test. The language test was a phone call where I received a Korean announcement paper. They asked me general Korean questions (weather, free time, Korea visits), then we did a phone role-play. Finally, I discussed recent news and a society/politics question in Korean, and read the announcement paper. I got the CJO two days later. Dress professionally for all interviews, especially the group ones, as most candidates wore blazers/suits.

The hiring process started with an HR phone screen, followed by a web interview with the hiring manager, and concluded with an in-person interview with the team and colleagues. It seemed pretty straightforward and moved along reasonably fast initially. However, after the three interviews, I waited for over two months. I followed up and was asked to wait another month. Still no word, so I followed up again more than a month later. I was then told the role was no longer being recruited for. Interestingly, about a week later, a similar role was posted, but for a Senior Manager instead of a Director. HR didn't reach out to see if I'd be interested in the Senior Manager role, which strikes me as incredibly inefficient given the pool of director-level candidates who were likely considered for the 'discontinued' position. It felt like a complete waste of time because they couldn't seem to organize themselves properly.

The hiring process was pretty smooth, taking about 20 days from application to offer. It involved three main stages: first, a phone interview, then a group panel interview via Microsoft Teams, and finally, an in-person interview. After applying online, I got an email to set up the phone interview. This call was mostly for them to explain the job and training details, check my availability, and see if I was a good fit. If things looked good, I'd get another email to schedule the group panel interview, which was a week later. This group interview had about 6-8 candidates, a recruiter, and a hiring manager. It was structured into rounds. In the first round, everyone got a different situational question. The second round, the hiring manager asked each of us a situational question and then asked the same question again. After that, they shared more about the job and mentioned an email would follow for those selected for a final interview. The face-to-face interview felt more intense. Two managers asked in-depth situational questions, like asking for examples of when I handled specific situations. They said HR would email by the end of the day about next steps if I was chosen. I got a call from HR about five hours later with an offer. It was a good experience, especially since I didn't have prior airline experience. Stay positive!
