Cashier
As soon as I got to the office for my interview, I had a feeling I wouldn't get the job. I knew I was probably too qualified, but I just wanted a part-time gig for my own reasons. I didn't hear anything back until I chased them up myself. If they really want to hire good people, they should communicate quickly because it shows what the company is like, not just what they say.

Stocking Supervisor
I got a call to set up an interview for the next day. When I got there, I told the cashier I was there for an interview and waited about 10 mins for a manager to get me. I followed them to the office where another manager was waiting. The Store/Hiring manager was out of town until Wed. I got an email saying they were moving on with other candidates by the time I got home.
- What makes you want to be employed at Harbor Freight?
HR Generalist
So the whole thing started with a phone interview, you know, just to screen me. After that, they said I made it to the next round, which was gonna be virtual. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview where I'd meet three different folks. I went, and actually walked around with someone who just got promoted in HR, really nice person, they're gonna do great things. Then I met the HR Manager and then the GM. It all took about 2.5 hours. The bummer is I never heard back, even after I reached out to the TAM. I got ghosted, which I think is pretty inconsiderate and unprofessional. I get wanting a multi-stage interview process, but to not give any feedback after taking up my time is just not right. It's already tough out here looking for a job. As annoying as this was, I really do hope you guys found the right person.
- Can you share an instance where you were required to implement a change to a process?
Store Manager
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and setting up the interview was straightforward. The interview itself felt good; I was asked three management-related questions, and we also went over my past work experience. After the interview, I was given the District Manager's contact information and told to expect to hear back in four days, with instructions to contact the recruiter if I didn't. I didn't hear from the DM, so I followed up with the recruiter, but still no response. I sent another follow-up email a week later and didn't receive any reply. I never got a rejection notification either.
- Can you share your approach to building a strong team?
