First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GreyOrange.
Operations Research Scientist
I had more than six interviews. After about three hour-long ones, they changed the role from remote to in-person and asked if I was okay with it. I said yes. A week later, they said the job was filled by someone local, but suggested another role. I did two more interviews for that one, and after two weeks, they told me they picked someone else. The whole thing was disorganized and poorly managed. Some interviewers knew their stuff, but it felt like a waste of time and disrespectful. Honestly, don't interview with this company if you value your time and self-respect.
- Can you discuss sorting algorithms?
- There was an easy LeetCode question.
Assistant Manager
I was reached out by a recruiter and had my first interview the next day for the Assistant Manager (Incident Management) position. I passed the technical interview and was then invited for the final round with the Head of Support. However, the final interview was not conducted well. The interviewer seemed uninterested and kept looking away during our talk. Despite this, I answered all leadership and management questions confidently. But, I wasn't selected and didn't get an offer, and there was no feedback.
- Tell me about your understanding of Incident Management.
- What's your experience with Problem Management?
- Share some examples of your leadership skills relevant to management.
Technical Support Engineer
The process kicked off with an aptitude test. After that, the candidates who passed were moved to the interview stage. It was an online aptitude round, and the interview was also conducted online. The interviewer was quite understanding; they made the candidates feel at ease before diving into the questions. They even explained the answers to questions the candidates missed.
- Can you explain the various types of Linux commands?
- What are the different kinds of SQL joins, and how do they work?
- How would you go about copying a directory in Linux?
Software Support Engineer
I applied for a job on Naukri.com, and the whole process took about 10-15 days. First, a recruiter called to explain the role and asked me some easy Linux and SQL questions, which I answered fine. Later that day, HR called to set up an interview for two days later. I was on time for the interview, but nobody showed up. After waiting, HR told me the interviewer was abroad and rescheduled for the next day. This happened again the next day, so HR rescheduled again. On the third try, the interviewer finally showed up late and asked basic questions about Linux, SQL, and my resume. I answered them well. Then, HR let me know I passed the first round and scheduled a second interview round. The second round was also disorganized. Even though I thought I did well, HR kept saying I wasn't selected after I followed up. This company's hiring process is really unprofessional and messy. They kept rescheduling and didn't communicate well, which shows they don't respect candidates' time. I'd tell others to think twice before applying here.
