You sit down in an office and have a short interview, very kind interviewer. Only one round. Good experience. Advice, get there a little early and wait outside, they interview in the order you arrived so if you arrive on time you will be one of the last to get interviewed and will be sitting in the waiting area for a while so getting there early!

I went through 4 interviews, meeting the hiring manager and some marketing leadership. The chat with the hiring manager was good, but the subsequent meetings with 3 other marketing managers/directors didn't click for me. I felt a disconnect, and many questions they asked didn't really relate to the job itself. The recruiter did prep me for these calls. My feedback would be to have the interviewers come more prepared with questions relevant to the role, rather than asking basic ones like 'why have I worked with my current company for 2 years.' While the hiring manager interaction was positive, the lack of preparation from the other interviewers made the connection difficult. It seemed like they weren't fully engaged or had other priorities. I do appreciate the recruiter's help and preparation throughout the process.

So Glossier reached out to me on LinkedIn, and I had a phone screen, then 4 Zoom interviews. After the 4th one, they said I wasn't moving forward. A few weeks later, I saw the job posted again, so I reapplied. The next day, I got a text asking for an in-person interview for the following day, which I did. I had a good talk, but the next day they called to say they'd already offered the job to someone else, and asked if I'd consider a different location. So I went through the whole thing again. This time, I interviewed with person one for the first time, person two for the second time, and person three for the third time. I was told the panel thought my answers were 'stronger and more passionate this time,' so I moved to the fourth and final interview with someone I'd spoken to before. A few days later, I got a call saying they went with a 'stronger candidate,' and the final interviewer thought my answers were 'stronger the first time around,' even though the rest of the panel disagreed. Honestly, it was quite insulting and messed up to string me along like that, especially with my 18+ years in cosmetics retail, including 10 in management.

The interview process was quite lengthy and felt a bit like Groundhog Day. It started with an HR screen, followed by an interview with the hiring manager, then three peer interviews, and concluded with a second interview with the hiring manager. I wasn't sure about that last step, but oh well... I went through the whole thing and they ultimately passed on me. Apparently, they ended up hiring someone internally. I reached out multiple times, both on the phone and through email, asking for feedback, but the hiring manager ghosted me. I felt pretty disrespected, especially after investing so much time in all those interview rounds.
