First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Globe Telecom.
Intern
I applied by reaching out to the recruiter directly. They set up an interview with the hiring manager right away, so I didn't have to do an HR screen. The interview itself was pretty straightforward. They asked about the stuff on my resume and a few questions about behavior and if I'd be a good culture fit. I got the offer the week after.
- How would you manage juggling different tasks at once?
Quality Assurance Engineer Manager
So this recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, and then we had an initial HR call. We talked about the role and what I expected from the interview process, and they asked about my salary expectations, which I said was 20% more than my current pay. Then, there was a take-home exam where I had to create a test automation for a given website and push it to GitHub, making sure to use best practices. I used playwright for that. After that, I had a panel interview with one test architect from Australia and about 5-7 local managers. I talked about my experience, focusing on my code preparation. The advice given was to know your code by heart. The final interview was with a director, who asked behavioral questions and about my expectations. They're looking to move from Selenium to modern frameworks like playwright. Finally, they made an offer, but it wasn't my asking rate, so I countered. They gave a second offer with a slight increase, but still not what I wanted. Their HMO benefits are good for a single person, but not enough for a family with kids. In the end, I declined the offer.
- Technical questions regarding your code assignment.
- What are your expectations regarding salary?
- Can you elaborate on your experience and code preparation?
Inventory Associate
The managers asked me about my experience to see if my qualifications matched the position. They noticed I had more managerial exposure in college, and as a student assistant, they compared my academic experience in school with my employee experience in the company.
- Can you share your background and experience from your time as a student and as an employee?
- How does your experience as a student assistant compare to your employee experience at a company?
- Describe your managerial exposure during college.
Software Engineer
So, I think they asked questions like this: A password is strong if it's at least 8 characters long, has a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a digit, and a special character from "!@#$%^&*()-+". Also, no two same characters next to each other, like 'aab' is bad but 'aba' is fine. Given a password string, return true if it's strong, false otherwise. And then, they asked me about my experience and if I was okay with the technical interview.
- Tell me about your background.
- Do you feel prepared for the technical interview?
