The first interview was kind of an assessment. After that, I had a face-to-face meeting with a C-Suite executive. We had a good conversation, and I felt my experience aligned well with the role's requirements, and my points were well-received. Immediately after, my point of contact mentioned they were impressed and would be in touch. Ultimately, I received a standard rejection email.

I had an initial chat with HR, who asked if I had questions. Unfortunately, they didn't record it, so my questions didn't make it to the hiring manager. They said I'd hear back in a few days. About a week and a half later, I followed up because I hadn't heard anything. I was told they didn't think I had enough relevant experience for the role (even though I'm in a similar, slightly more senior position right now). They then asked if I'd consider a more junior role and emphasized that I should only communicate with that specific HR contact. I mentioned I'd be open to seeing a job description for that, but I never heard back. Then, about three weeks later, I got a generic rejection email.

The interview process was fine. I spoke with a friendly HR representative who asked typical questions. They also allowed ample time for my own questions. One detail not mentioned in the offer was a mandatory two-week unpaid training period before the three-month training, which serves as an evaluation for suitability. This training is essentially self-directed learning with a senior person available for questions, making the job title somewhat misleading. I'd suggest reviewing Geeks company reviews before considering an offer, as it might not be a desirable workplace.
