First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Future Standard.
Software Engineer Intern
The interview process started with an online assessment covering aptitude, data structures and algorithms (DSA), and fundamental computer science concepts. Following that, I went through three more rounds, all conducted in their office. These in-person interviews involved questions on DSA, machine learning (ML), database management systems (DBMS), object-oriented programming (OOPs), and behavioral aspects.
- Can you find the nearest smallest element to the left of an array element?
- How would you find the intersection of two given arrays?
HR Business Partner
This was by far the worst interview process I've ever been through. The HR team seems to have no clue about talent acquisition. They are incredibly slow to respond, and often don't respond at all. A friend of mine had the same experience with this role – constant ghosting. They apologized a lot, but the ghosting continued. Ultimately, neither my friend nor I knew the status of our applications. We only found out we didn't get the job when they sent us a feedback survey. My friend called to ask if that meant the position was filled, and the person on the other end said, “Sorry. Someone should have called you.” It felt very unprofessional.
- Can you elaborate on your experience with integrating teams?
- They seemed dissatisfied with current team integration efforts, can you address that?
VP of Marketing
The interview started pretty standard. They talked about the job and what's expected, laying out specific goals and when they should be met. I showed I could think strategically, lead teams, and really knew my marketing stuff. We had good talks and I did some presentations, showing how I'd fit the company's goals and was excited about doing big marketing things.
- Tell me about a marketing campaign you led that had a great return on investment, including the strategies you used to get there.
Client Solutions Analyst
The interview process at this company was quite long, lasting about 2.5 months and involving interviews with 5 different people, including the recruiter. I had to follow up with the recruiter to see if a decision had been made, and during a scheduled call, she informed me about the offer, though it felt like an afterthought. She mentioned they would send the offer, but it's been three weeks since then. I followed up again, and now the recruiter has stopped responding, which is very unprofessional.
- How would you describe your experience in a conversational manner?
- Can you share a time when you demonstrated behavioral skills?
- What makes you want to work here?
