It was a pretty fast interview process. They asked quite a few questions, and I answered them. Communication was great all the way through. They offered me the job, but I had to turn it down because I had to move somewhere that didn't have support there. I was bummed about it.

It started with a recruiter chat, then a hiring manager chat about the role and my background. Then I talked to a team member about my background and the take-home project. The take-home project had clear goals and was a lot of work (8-10 hours). Nobody was rude, but no strong cultural signals either. I worked on the project alone and then presented my code and findings. They said they'd follow up, but it's been 10 days with no word, so I wouldn't recommend applying here.

Technical Case Presentation

It began with a recruiter screening, followed by a short write-up addressing specific questions. Then, there were three rounds of interviews: the first involved a technical assessment and case study with two team members, the second was a case study with one team member, and the third was a case study with the hiring manager.

Got a call from HR in early December, then radio silence for weeks. I followed up and they said everyone was on vacation. But they didn’t notify me. Then a meeting with the Hiring manager was scheduled for the first week of January, lasted 45 mins. We talked about my past experiences, background, strengths, etc. It was fine until the last 5 mins. He suddenly noticed something on my resume and asked about the gap. I answered that after graduation, I joined a training and placing program, but it slowed down due to the pandemic, and then I found another job. I doubt they cared much about the gap, especially since I had just graduated. I know you might be experienced and can switch jobs easily even during a hiring freeze, but it's not like that for everyone.
