There were two rounds of phone interviews. They wanted to know more about my projects in the MIS program. I gave them a detailed explanation of my projects and they also asked about my previous experience and projects I worked on there. I told them, and then there was a second round of telephone interview with the manager, which was more like a chat about my experience and projects.

I had a few interviews with my potential coworkers and managers. It started with an HR chat where they asked standard personality questions. Then, managers and peers asked very technical questions, and I needed to provide a lot of practical examples. They mentioned a strong MCU background is needed, and software development experience would be a plus. Experience with automotive and industrial applications and systems is also very useful. Overall, the interviews were pretty friendly and pleasant, but the questions were tough and definitely required some prep.

It was campus placement. There was a written test first, then interviews. The written test was tough and had questions on cmos, state machines, analog, and digital topics. The interview involved designing a machine. They asked about state machines, mealy machines, and moore machines. Also asked if mealy and moore machines are inter-convertible, what cache memory is, why it's used, why it's faster than normal memory, and if it's faster, why not replace RAM with cache. They also asked about projects from my CV.

It was pretty easy, a 3-step process. First was a technical interview asking about tools, methodologies, concepts and logic, the interviewer was to-the-point. Second was another technical interview, this one asked about quality overview and checklists. The last round was with HR, more of an aptitude and social test, they asked about my family and educational background, and my views on organizational matters and company CRs, which I think I answered well. Communication was smooth throughout.
