Intern
So, first there was a written test, then a face-to-face interview. The written part had 3 C problems that were medium difficulty, and then some multiple choice questions, 10 on Linux and 10 on networking. After that, they asked me to list the 10 projects that I found most interesting. If I passed the written test, I got to have an interview with two mentors, and they were the mentors for the top two projects I selected.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Subversion (git) and C debugging tools?
Intern
I applied for an intern position and about two weeks after sending my resume to an alumnus, I got a phone call. The alumnus and his manager wanted to interview me about my application for their group, which was focused on thermal modeling and simulation. The interview was technical, asking about my software familiarity, how I've used it, and my coursework in heat transfer. It was unexpected and I had to answer based on my recollection. It wasn't hard, though. About two weeks later, I got an offer via email, followed by routine paperwork. The pay was good for interns then, and I learned a lot that summer, which was my first career experience.
- Were you familiar with a software used in circuit design, though not for CFD?
- They seemed very interested in whether I knew this particular software.
Intern
I applied on their website where there where listed all intern positions. I was called after two or three days to schedule an interview. First it was an interview with a technical team. After this I waited about one week to be called and be announced that I had passed the technical interview. It fallowed an interview with human resource that was eliminatory. After another 3 days they called to make an offer. I got 3 days to accept it or not.
- How would you prioritize your job offers?
