First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fred Meyer.
Stocker
It was a typical interview process, but it didn't work out for me. I didn't dress up because I didn't think it was necessary. I'm sure that didn't help my case. I was also hoping for slightly better benefits. I still go shopping at Freddies.
- Can you work late shifts?
Department Lead
It was a pretty straightforward process. They mainly wanted to know my availability and if I'd stay with the company even if there was a strike. I got a call back about a week later and then just had to complete some paperwork. It seems like if you're already working here and get promoted, there's no real interview.
- How does your availability look
Sales Associate
The interview process was quite straightforward and I felt it could have been a good match, although ultimately it wasn't the right fit for me. The company has many different departments within the store where one could potentially work, but it appears that you don't get to choose your specific area of focus.
- Could you tell me about your greatest weakness when it comes to a job?
E-commerce Specialist
I talked to the manager one-on-one, and they asked a lot of questions, but they were pretty standard. The manager also let me know what they thought I needed to know. Overall, it felt like a standard interview. Since it was during COVID, they also asked about my comfort level with wearing masks daily.
- Can you share your experience working in a team and how you would contribute?
- Regarding teamwork, how do you envision your contributions?
- What are your thoughts on the daily requirement of wearing masks?
