Management
First, we chatted about career opportunities and job responsibilities. Then, there was a formal interview with questions about conflict and time management. They also asked about my interests and how I could apply them to the company and internship.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a disagreement between colleagues?
- What are your interests and how would you bring them to the company and this internship?
- Tell me about your career opportunities and job responsibilities.
Assistant Manager
We had to prepare a presentation to sell ourselves for the position, with directions given 3 days prior. The presentation was supposed to be 5-10 minutes long and touch on specific points. The interview panel included our regional manager and two other managers. It felt informal, and they tried to make us comfortable. After the presentation, they only asked a couple of questions, making me wonder if they were interested. They mentioned this was a new approach to get to know us better and understand our experiences and growth. I do like this interview style, though, but maybe more feedback or questions from them would have reassured me. We'll know in a few days.
- Tell me about your business results.
- Are you adhering to the plan?
Assistant Manager
Getting hired was a breeze. I sent in my resume and application, then had just one interview. They asked about my ability to manage people and if I'd handled finances before. There was also a test involved. After they hired me, I went to a training class.
- How would you handle a situation with a dissatisfied customer?
- Tell me about your people skills.
- Do you have any experience working with money?
