& Process

So, the interview process started with a basic phone screen. Then, I had a second interview with a Senior Production Support Analyst who was really helpful and clear about what the job involves. After that, I was set for a final 'super day' with about 4 or 5 interviewers. But then, a few days after scheduling the final round, I got a super early call at 7:30 AM asking about my Bachelor's or Master's degree. They said it wasn't on my resume and wasn't brought up before. Once I confirmed I didn't have a degree, they instantly disqualified me. It was pretty disappointing and felt like it could have been avoided. This whole situation makes me question how professional everything was, given the disconnect between the process and the final decision.

It was a standard process with a screening call first, then a virtual interview with people more senior. The interviewers were multitasking during the interview, which is understandable given their positions, but they were quite rude when my answers weren't exactly what they expected. Also, the interview started 10 minutes late.

It was an on-campus drive initially, where the first round took place in college itself. This round covered basic programming questions, DSA, aptitude, and Linux. After getting shortlisted, I proceeded to the face-to-face interview at the FlexTrade office in Magarpatta, Pune. During the interview, I was asked about my resume projects and technical skills in Linux and C++. For Linux, they asked about all commands and shell scripting. Then, for C++, they covered OOPs concepts, file handling, writing OOPs code, and basic DSA problems. The interview lasted about an hour, and it was a great experience.

So there were 4 rounds in total. The first was an online test with questions on aptitude, reasoning, numerical ability, and Linux OS. It also included one lengthy pseudocode and one coding question. Then there was a technical interview where the interviewer was very kind and professional. He asked me some questions based on basic programs like prime no. and array functionality, swapping of two no.s, etc. After that, a managerial interview with a really awesome guy who was eager to listen. He asked some behavioural based questions. He was the most awesome interviewer I ever faced. Lastly, the HR interview, where HR just wanted to know who I am as a person, which is what all HRs do. She asked several behavioural based questions. She was also very humble and kind. The whole process took about 12-15 days, it was quick and the follow-up by HR was commendable. Kudos to all the interviewers.
