First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FlexTrade Systems Inc..
Technical Analyst
It was an on-campus drive initially, where the first round took place in college itself. This round covered basic programming questions, DSA, aptitude, and Linux. After getting shortlisted, I proceeded to the face-to-face interview at the FlexTrade office in Magarpatta, Pune. During the interview, I was asked about my resume projects and technical skills in Linux and C++. For Linux, they asked about all commands and shell scripting. Then, for C++, they covered OOPs concepts, file handling, writing OOPs code, and basic DSA problems. The interview lasted about an hour, and it was a great experience.
- Can you list all Linux commands and explain their respective uses?
- What are the concepts of OOPs in C++?
- Could you write a C++ code demonstrating Runtime Polymorphism?
Technical Analyst
It was advertised as a technical analyst role, but during the interviews, they only asked aptitude questions and puzzles. Round 1 had about 2-3 technical questions and 2-3 puzzles. Round 2 had 5 puzzles and 3 basic technical questions. Then they explained the role, saying it's 20% technical and 80% tech support. Since it wasn't a technical role, I declined the offer. Worst experience.
- Tell me about the major pillars of OOPS.
- I was asked more than 6 puzzles.
Technical Analyst
I was contacted by a consultancy and had my interview set up at FlexTrade in Nov 2019. First, there was an online test with about 20-30 questions covering aptitude, logical reasoning, some Unix scenarios, and a couple of coding problems involving file I/O and strings. Then, the technical interview involved some easy coding tasks, mainly pattern-based and string-related, along with Unix questions, discussions about my project experience, and typical interview questions. The final round was with a manager who asked about salary expectations and other non-technical stuff. This job isn't heavy on coding; it's more about configuration, flow testing, and client management.
- Write code to print a pattern.
- Write code to reverse a string.
- Write code to remove duplicate elements from Python lists.
