First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FlexTrade Systems Inc..
C++ Developer
There were 2 technical rounds. The first round covered OOP concepts with coding, as well as string and array manipulation. The second round focused on data structures and algorithms, requiring code writing, and also touched upon multithreading and synchronization, including how Java handles synchronization.
- Could you write a program to remove all instances of a specific number from a static array?

The hiring panel was quite unprofessional. The test standard was good, with two technical coding rounds planned. After these, an interview was supposed to be scheduled. As a fresher, I've done about 40 interviews, but this was the first time I saw an interviewer on WhatsApp, looking drowsy, and taking calls. If you're coming from a top MNC, think twice about this place. I'm writing this on July 17th, 2019, from the Pune Magarpatta office. It felt like a total waste of time; I had to repeat my introduction three times because the interviewer was on his phone and asked me to. For all experienced folks considering the C++ developer role, please reconsider. If the leadership is this unprofessional, I seriously doubt the rest of the process. Even if I were offered the job, I would have rejected it because when the call came through, the interviewer seemed like he was done. At least now I have an example to give my friends and colleagues about Flextrade Pune – a company not to join. Dear higher management, please provide some good training for your interviewers; they are the company's representatives.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- Could you tell me about your salary expectations?
- Why are you interested in this position?
C++ Developer
After passing the code review, I was invited for an on-site interview at their Great Neck office. There, I had two tests: one focused on C++ concepts and the other on algorithms and data structures, both seemed easy. Following the tests, the first interviewer reviewed my answers and then asked numerous questions covering C++, object-oriented principles, and multi-threading, some of which were quite challenging. The second interviewer presented a system design problem and an algorithmic question. My experience with the first interviewer was unpleasant as he was dismissive; however, the second interviewer was very good. The interview day, starting at 10 am, concluded around 1 pm. I was hungry towards the end, which I feel impacted my performance, especially since no food or drinks were provided.
- Some of the C++ object oriented questions were hard for me. But if you read about them, you will be fine.
