First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Firstsource Solutions.
Customer Service Representative
The interview started with a group session, and then I had a one-on-one. I felt a bit out of place initially, but I think the company was trying to be transparent about the pay and workload, possibly to filter out candidates who weren't really interested. The individual interview involved a series of questions about my previous experience and how I'd deal with a really angry customer.
- What was the volume of calls you handled in your previous role?
- Describe your approach to managing a situation with a highly upset customer.
Software Test Engineer
You start with a technical assessment, which could be a timed coding challenge or a take-home project. If you do well, you'll move on to live technical interviews where you'll talk about problem-solving and your solution. The last step is meeting the team for behavioral or culture-fit interviews before you get an offer.
- Can you discuss SQL?
- Can you discuss API?
- Can you discuss Java?
Software Engineer Trainee
I got into the interview process through my university and the first round was an HR interview. It focused on projects, preferred work locations, and domains. This lasted about 15-20 minutes. Afterward, I received a link for a Technical Online test where I managed to solve only one out of two questions.
- Could you give a brief introduction about yourself?
- Tell me more about the most recent project you were involved in and any related follow-up questions.
- Which office locations are you interested in working at?
BPO Non Voice Process
Interview for BPO (voice and non-voice) roles. Company employees will guide you to meet HR for an interview. Make sure to write the HR's name on top of your resume. They collect resumes based on HR names and then call 6-8 people for the first round. In the first round, they will ask for self-introductions and HR-related questions. If you pass, you will be informed to stay for the second round, which is an assessment. The third round checks if candidates are suitable for the position (voice or non-voice). The final round is with the manager.
- Given your high qualifications unrelated to this role, why do you want to join a BPO?
