I was called in for an interview the very next day. When I arrived, the manager greeted me and introduced me to his own manager. The manager's manager then proceeded to micromanage him and completely took over the interview. I was informed that there were two rounds of interviews for this pawn shop job, which pays $9-$10/hour, which I found totally ludicrous. Additionally, they expected employees to travel between different store locations during their shifts. I'm unsure how they are still in business or why they required additional CSRs, as there were no fewer than 6 employees working behind the counter when I arrived in the early afternoon on a weekday.

Behavioral Technical

I applied on a Sunday and the hiring manager called me on Monday afternoon for an interview the very next day. It was a really chill interview, lasting about 20 minutes max. They asked about my past work experience and seemed a bit concerned I didn't have commission-based experience, so if you're in the same boat, mention things like cross-selling store cards or emails. They were interviewing other people that day, so I wasn't hired immediately. However, they called me later that day to offer me the job and asked for permission for a background check and to take a drug screening.

Behavioral Presentation

This is a very people-focused interview, so make sure you come across as a people person. Gut instinct and quick thinking are key for this role. We really care about cultural fit, and honestly, if you score below 75% on the online app, you won't be considered. Business casual dress code is fine. Bring your resume, and be prepared to answer a lot of questions about customers, service, sales, and building relationships. Being bilingual in Spanish is a big plus.

Other Behavioral

It starts with a personality test, then a simple math test, and you also have to do a lot of paperwork for background checks. After that, there's a quick face-to-face chat with your supervisor. The interview itself goes by fast, and you'll know how you did pretty much right away. You need to dress professionally for the interview, even though the job itself doesn't require it.

Tell me about the first time the team won a match when players had a goal in hand to win a penalty, and a goal in front, in a match that would be a penalty for goal difference against a team in a game played.
