The interview was pretty straightforward, with standard questions. They did ask me to demonstrate how I'd sell a pen, which put me on the spot. They're not really interested in car knowledge, just your sales ability.

I applied online for a job fair event, but when I got there, they asked if I had an appointment. I explained I saw the posting on Indeed and didn't know I needed to schedule a call. They put me in a waiting area for about 8 minutes before I interviewed with one of the Area Managers. The manager said we'd first review my resume and then move to behavioral questions. We only got through my last job before switching to behavioral. We talked about how my experience matched what they were looking for, and I felt like it went well. At the end, they explained the job's timeline and advancement. They said they'd review everyone after the job fair and contact candidates the next week for follow-up interviews about store placement and pay. But at 7:03 pm, I got an email saying they were going with other candidates, even though they said they'd review people *after* the event ended at 7:00 pm. It seemed weirdly fast to review, reject, and email in three minutes. I replied thanking them and asked for feedback to improve for the future, but haven't heard back.

Got a call after applying, talked to the District Manager, and we set up a meeting at a Firestone. When I got there, I waited a bit, then met with the DM and an assistant. We talked about my experience and what I knew about Firestone. They told me about the company's history and the location I'd work at. They asked about my tools and my desired hourly wage, then offered a lower figure. We settled on a number, and they told me I needed to take a drug test within 24 hours. I passed the test, and after my background check cleared, they called me. I was given a date for orientation/training in Cudahay, which involved travel but mileage reimbursement. We had meals provided and learned about tire work, safety, equipment use, and other standard corporate stuff.

Before accepting the store manager position, negotiate your salary carefully, as raises are not guaranteed. The interview process can be quite lengthy, potentially lasting up to 5 hours. You might be offered a lower starting salary with promises of future raises, but be aware that your monthly base salary increases are highly unlikely. The company relies on a commission program for additional earnings. If you achieve high earnings, it's advisable not to disclose this information to others, as it could negatively impact you.
