First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fehr & Peers.
Intern
I submitted my resume and was contacted the next day for a first round behavioral screening with HR. They asked typical questions like why I'm interested in the company. After that, my resume was sent to all offices and I might be contacted for a second round.
- Can you describe your understanding of DEI?
Planner
The interview process was straightforward, with standard questions. It was conducted by an HR representative, so you don't get to interact with colleagues in your field during the initial interview. While the interviewer was pleasant, they didn't ask many questions directly related to my specific area of expertise.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered adversity in a work or team setting and explain how you navigated it?
Help Desk Technician
The initial screening interview with the IT manager was positive and welcoming. However, the subsequent technical round, conducted via Teams, felt hostile. The IT team seemed judgmental from the start, and despite my limited experience as a young female in an entry-level role, they proceeded to laugh at, embarrass, and ridicule me during the meeting. The overall experience was inappropriate and immature, and I do not recommend it.
- Questions about advanced computer hardware and behavioral scenarios were asked.
Transportation Planner
It was a really unprofessional interview experience. I had an initial phone screening with a recruiter, but there was no follow-up from them at all. Then, a transportation planner reached out to ask if I had more work I could show them. I sent it over, and then it was radio silence from them too. I politely reached out to both the recruiter and the planner multiple times asking for updates and emphasizing my interest in the role, but I never got a response. I get that they might not be able to give a reason, but the least they could have done was give me a formal 'no' instead of wasting my time. Also, I tried to follow up with the recruiter again a month later and got an automated response saying they had left the company. What a mess.....
