Manager
It was a pretty smooth process overall. I spoke with the recruiter, the hiring manager, and then the director. However, I noticed some red flags. They mentioned upfront that working nights, holidays, and weekends might be necessary, but they didn't specify the exact schedule until I received the offer. It turned out to be Sunday through Thursday, 11 am to 8 pm, which I wouldn't have applied for if I had known earlier. I should have asked about the schedule at the beginning, but I just assumed it would be more like standard business hours, especially for a manager role. During the hiring manager interview, something really strange happened. They paused our interview to take a phone call, even though it was only a 30-minute interview and we were halfway through. It was odd that they couldn't wait until it was over. I did get past that stage and met with the Director. That interview seemed okay, but while I was answering a question, the director kept looking down, almost under the desk, like they dropped something. It was pretty distracting. Finally, after getting the offer, they gave me less than two business days to accept. I got the offer on a Wednesday around noon and had to sign by the end of the next day, or they would move on. Since I'm being considered by other companies and these red flags popped up, I declined. I got a pretty clear sense of how things are run there, and it seemed sloppy and not very transparent. I really liked their mission, culture, and the work itself, but the pressure to sign so quickly was a big turn-off. I would have liked to accept, but it became clear it wasn't the right move.

Sales Associate
The process starts with a recruiter chat, then you talk to the hiring manager, and finish with a panel interview with some higher-ups. They usually bring in new hires in training classes. It was a pretty easy process, not hard at all. Honestly, I enjoyed it more than other interviews I've done. It usually takes about 2 weeks from when you apply.

Senior Director
I was contacted by an internal recruiter who asked scripted questions and gave me an overview of the role and company. A couple days later, I had a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. Then, I had another Zoom video interview with HR, followed by two panel interviews the next week. Everything went well, and I was asked to complete an online application. A few days after that, I noticed the company had lowered the salary range by $35k. They disappeared, and two weeks later, the recruiter called with generic feedback that they decided to move forward with other candidates. I told him I figured as much when I didn't hear back after two weeks.

Senior Director, Owner and Guest Support
I recently interviewed for a Senior Director position with Evolve, and my experience highlighted some areas for improvement in the interview process. The call quality was poor, with significant background noise, which made it challenging to communicate effectively. The recruiter seemed disconnected, unfocused, and as if they were simply going through the motions. It felt as though they were following a strict checklist of questions without fully understanding my responses or engaging in open dialogue. Often, their follow-ups were limited to “yes” or “no,” which made the process feel more transactional than conversational. Given Evolve’s commitment to human-centered values, this was unexpected and disappointing. While I understand Evolve may seek candidates with specific experience, a more balanced approach in assessing a candidate’s overall background and career milestones would align better with the company’s mission. The recruitment experience should reflect the same core values Evolve promotes to its team and customers. Advice to Management: Consider enhancing the interview process by fostering open, engaging dialogue and ensuring recruiters are fully present in the conversation. Moving away from a rigid checklist and addressing technical issues during calls would create a more positive and authentic candidate experience that truly embodies Evolve’s values.
