The first part was a call with the recruiter, which went really well. After that, I had a 90-minute Zoom interview. It started with 15 minutes with a peer, which felt more like a casual chat than an interview as they didn't ask many relevant questions. Then, I had a 60-minute, 3-person panel interview on Zoom. The first two people were great, but the third person seemed disinterested and unprofessional, which made me wonder about ageism. The conversations with the others went well, and I think her behavior might have affected the outcome. They asked good questions. We talked for so long that I felt I repeated myself. I found her behavior extremely unprofessional given my years of experience. Finally, I had to do a mock sales call and follow-up email with one of the interviewers. I did a lot of research and felt that part went well. The company seems great on the surface, but they need to improve their interviewing process. I was disappointed not to get any feedback.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The initial screening call was great. The recruiter was super enthusiastic and friendly. However, the final round was incredibly disappointing. It started with a 15-minute chat with a Senior Sales Rep. Then, two sales team managers joined for some pretty tough questions. To wrap it up, there was a 15-20 minute mock sales call and email follow-up. My main issue was with the two managers who interviewed me for 45 minutes. They seemed smug, uninterested, and like it was a bother to interview me. I got zero feedback. I guess they didn't like that I haven't sold SaaS before, even though I have 5 years in SaaS (Account Management, Customer Success) and prior retail sales experience. I figured they'd see my transferable skills, but apparently not. My advice to them: 1. Act like you care and want to be there. 2. Don't dismiss someone just because their sales experience isn't identical. 3. Provide feedback and ask more original questions than 'What makes a successful sales rep?'. There are better ways to understand a candidate.

Behavioral Technical

The interviewers were very friendly and made me feel comfortable, even though they were new to their roles. They seemed enthusiastic about their jobs. The interview was supposed to be 3 parts and 90 minutes. It was supposed to start with a chat with a sales associate, but they didn't show up. At the end, they didn't mention next steps or ask for references, though I also forgot to ask. Still waiting to hear back about an offer.
