Had two interviews for this role, the first one was in person and the second one was with their regional director. It's really discouraging when you feel like an interview went super well, and then you hear nothing back from the company when they decide not to move forward. No hard feelings, but it definitely makes you not want to recommend them.

It was very easy and quick. First, I had an on the phone interview. Then I got called back for an in person interview where I was just asked about my strengths and weaknesses and how I can work under pressure and in group settings. Then I was asked about the hours I could work and when I could come in and if I was flexible. It was very relaxing. After that, I got accepted and got straight to training.

Advertised as $15-20/hr on indeed but it's really $12 plus commission on wax passes. I got an email on indeed asking me basic questions like how far I live from the location, my availability, and if I'm okay with sales goals. Had a phone interview a week after applying, and then an in-person interview about 5 days later. I checked Glassdoor reviews for prep, which weren't great but seemed okay enough. The in-person interview started 15 min late, which made me a bit nervous. It lasted about 45 min and was more thorough than usual for customer service/front desk. The next day, I got an email asking for 2-3 references, a photo, a bio (about me, why I want to work there, and why I'm a good fit), my social security card, and my ID, all via email. This felt really weird for a few reasons: a photo is odd since they saw me in person, they asked bio questions I already answered, and asking for sensitive ID documents unsecured via email before an offer or background check agreement is questionable and potentially an HR violation. They called a few hours later to confirm I got the email and I asked if this was a conditional offer. They said as a franchise, they had to send this packet to franchise HQ for approval before offering the job, which made me even more uncomfortable about sending my info to unknown people. My peers agreed it was a bit off, so I withdrew my application and decided to share my experience on Glassdoor to warn others.

The hiring manager rescheduled our zoom interview 2 minutes after it was supposed to start. I had to follow up for another time and date since she never emailed me back. Red flags already. Day of the rescheduled interview, I was getting bad vibes and I could already tell I wasn’t going to get the job. Didn’t expect so many questions considering it’s an entry level job paying minimum wage with extremely high turnover rate.
