I sent in my application and was contacted the following week for an interview. I was really looking forward to the opportunity. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, but it didn't really go how I'd hoped. The interviewer was pleasant and asked some basic questions. Then she asked if I was a customer who got waxed. I said no, and she asked me why not. I explained that while I used to wax regularly, I didn't feel the need to anymore and didn't particularly enjoy the pain. She pointed out that it's easier to sell something you like. I get that, and I understand why they might not hire me, but I wasn't aware the role involved selling waxing services. Typically, a front desk job involves things like managing schedules, handling phone calls, and staying organized, not sales. I left feeling disappointed, but the worst part was yet to come. She said they'd contact candidates by that Friday. It's now Thursday of the following week, and I haven't heard anything at all. It drives me crazy when companies say they'll call and then don't. It's incredibly rude to leave people hanging when they're anticipating an answer.

Saw an ad on craigslist, sent my resume and got a call the same day to set up an interview for the next day. The interview was with the district manager, who seemed nice. The interview itself was pretty simple, but she was really busy that day with her phone ringing and stuff. I was told I'd hear back by next week, and if not, then I guess I wasn't the right fit.

It was easy and straight to the point. They asked about my prior guest service experience and my education from the past. They teach about product knowledge that you will sell to guests and you learn computer systems.
