The interview process was pretty straightforward and mostly revolved around my resume and previous work. They asked about my skills and how I'd be able to use them in the job I was applying for.

Recruiter explained the interview format. Typically, candidates interview with one person first, then have a second interview with a few team members. My interview was an hour with one person. They asked standard interview questions and some basic technical ones. I didn't advance to a second round.

I applied for the role and got an email to schedule an interview 9 days later. About 10 days after that, I had the interview. It felt like it went well, and they said I'd hear back about next steps within 2 weeks. It's now been 2 months, and I still haven't heard anything. The application portal says it's still 'in process,' but there's been no communication since that first interview with the recruiter.

So, I interviewed for a power systems engineering job at ERCOT. It was a four-round process. First, there was a chat with HR, then two technical interviews with the chief office engineer and their team, and finally, a meeting with the department manager. The people I met were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in my background. The interviews mostly covered data processing, which totally fits my electrical engineering experience. But, even after four rounds, I still don't know if I got the job. I asked for feedback, but never heard back. It was a good experience overall, but the lack of follow-up was a bummer. I wish they'd just told me if I got it or not and maybe given some feedback. Still, ERCOT is a place I'd consider working for later because they were technically sound and polite during the interviews.
