Software Engineer
The hiring process usually starts with a recruiter call, then a hiring manager call, followed by a technical screen, and finally an onsite loop. The final stage involves four to five rounds: a culture interview, two coding interviews, a meeting with the hiring manager, and a meeting with the CTO. Getting hired requires at least two "strong yes" recommendations, which seems demanding but understandable given the current job market. A positive aspect is that the hiring manager provides a 15-minute feedback session for unsuccessful candidates, though it took some nudging the recruiters for a few weeks to get this sorted.
- The tech screen involved a real-world coding problem.
- The onsite coding challenges were all LeetCode-style.
Inbound BDR
I had an initial screening with a recruiter, and the conversation was going well until visa requirements came up. I clarified that I already meet all the right-to-work requirements and do not need visa sponsorship. The recruiter mentioned they would confirm with HR and follow up, but I never heard back. I even sent a follow-up message to check in, but unfortunately, I was completely ghosted. It was disappointing, especially because the company itself seems very interesting. The process suggested a lack of knowledge around right-to-work entitlements, and it would have been more professional to at least provide an update or let me know if I wasn’t moving forward.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Engineering Manager
It began with a recruiter screen and a chat with the current engineering manager. During this call, they were upfront about internal issues and kept asking if I'd ever had to fire someone, which made me question the team's culture from the start. I then did a system design interview, which I felt went really well. About a week after, they said the hiring manager liked my performance but I wasn't 'experienced enough' for the Engineering Manager role. They then offered me a P3 IC position, which they said is usually for folks with 3-4 years of experience. I was pretty surprised because I have over 15 years of hands-on technical experience, including senior architecture and management roles, which we'd already talked about. When I brought this up, they replied with, 'Oh—I missed that!' and suggested changing the role to a principal IC. They then proposed doing another system design interview, not realizing I'd already done one earlier that week! After that, I never heard back. The whole experience felt disorganized and badly managed, with important details being missed and my experience being totally misjudged. It was almost insulting. Don't bother interviewing here!!
- Design the OTP flow for an application.
Customer Success Manager
So the interview process for this role kicks off with submitting your application online. After that, you’ll go through three rounds of interviews with different people, like the hiring manager and folks from other teams. They also give you a take-home assignment to see how you handle real problems, communicate, and think strategically about the Customer Success job. They really care about teamwork, taking ownership, and always thinking about the customer.
- Can you share your experience with enterprise clients?
