I found the CSOC Analyst Summer Intern job online and then the Supervisor reached out to me via email for an interview. There were two interviews: one was a one-on-one, and the other was a group interview with about 4 people. The first interview was more behavioral, and the second interview was more technical. The technical questions were not that hard. The whole interview process took about 2 weeks. I got the offer not too long after the interviews.

Behavioral Technical

It started with a screening call from the vendor, asking some basic stuff about my experience, skills, and availability. It was a friendly chat. Then, they set up a direct interview with the Entergy client. The client's team kicked things off really chill and relaxed, which was nice. They dove into my technical knowledge, past projects, and how I approach problems. All in all, it went pretty smoothly and was organized well.

Behavioral Technical

I got a call just 2 days before the interview and they asked me to come in last minute. I was on-site and there was no one really there to guide me. The interview itself wasn't too bad but they asked a lot of niche questions that didn't make sense for the position and there was a lot of vagueness about the role. It almost felt like they didn't even know what it was. Overall, it wasn't a great experience and I felt like I was just a filler candidate.

The first meeting was a 30-min phone call with an HR Advisor who seemed really enthusiastic. Then, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager and two other team members. It was honestly the strangest interview I've ever been through. The team acted almost like robots, and their goal seemed to be making me uncomfortable. The questions they asked were really basic and not technical, and they didn't even seem to connect to the job description. Companies should really send a rejection email or call candidates back after they've spent so much time preparing for an in-person interview. I received neither. I was ghosted. They need to do better.
