The recruiting process had 4 steps, but for me it ended after 2 steps with some very usefull feedback from hr about why the roll is not for me. They had 3 main arguments, and I agree with the first one as the main reason I should look for a more suitable opportunity elsewhere. The first point was that I don't have a depth of required experience in consolidated financial reports preparation, which is true as I mentioned that from the very beginning of our call with the controller and reporter. My experience was only with the preparation of the annual consolidated report, yet the open roll requires Monthly and Quarterly preparation as well. The second point was that my knowledge about Efficio itself was too high level. I don't think that's fair, as the company is niche and my knowledge was adequate for that. The third point was about my preference to have space from micromanagement from the leadership; they need someone who would be more up to work with close management from multiple leaders. That would not work for me. Thus, I evaluate the outcome of the two calls as positive for both parties in only 4 working days, which is efficient enough to move forward!

The process from initial contact to the final interview was quite fast. There were four stages in total: a pre-screening, a video interview, a group assessment center (AC), and finally, an interview with two consultants. It's worth noting that during the AC itself, there was another interview with two consultants where they asked the exact same questions as in the final interview.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Went through 5 stages of the recruitment process. Started with an initial application, then an initial screening call with HR about your interests and motivation for working with efficio. Moved on to a second interview with two employees covering competencies and language skills. Third stage was a case study interview, where you're given twenty minutes to review and then discuss your answers. I found the case study difficult and struggled with a few questions, but they progressed me to the final stage anyway. Fifth stage was another interview with senior members of the business.

The whole interview process was smooth, well-organised, and surprisingly enjoyable. From the beginning, communication was clear and consistent. The recruiter laid out the steps early on, so I knew exactly what to expect and had time to prepare properly. Each stage felt structured but still relaxed - more like genuine conversations than a grilling. The interviewers came across as friendly, switched-on, and clearly interested in both my background and how I might fit into the team. One thing that really stood out was how much they cared about team fit and personal growth - it was definitely not just ticking boxes. It wasn’t just about skills; they wanted to know how I’d work with others, what motivates me, and where I see myself heading. Updates came quickly after each stage, which kept the momentum going and made the whole experience feel respectful and professional. All in all, it left a great impression and made me even more excited about the opportunity and the company culture.
