First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DISCO.
Sales Development Representative
I went through all the rounds at DISCO and got good feedback all the way through. The interviews weren't super tough, but I did have to prep a presentation for the final onsite. The next day, the recruiter called, saying they were really impressed and I should expect good news. In the end, they decided to go with other candidates who had more experience, even though it's a 'development' role and I have 2 years. They then took the job down and reposted it a few days later.

Software Engineering Manager
Applied for a role at Disco and it was a bit of a mixed bag. After applying, there was a good while without hearing anything, maybe a couple of weeks, which was kinda stressful. I ended up reaching out to a manager I knew for a referral, and then a recruiter got in touch pretty quickly. The recruiter I talked to was really nice, more understanding than most I've spoken to, and the first call went well. But, it took about a week after that interview to find out they weren't going to have me come in for an onsite. I didn't quite get why based on the questions they asked, but I did appreciate them letting me know. All in all, my experience with Disco was better than with most other tech companies these days. The recruiter's attitude really made a difference, and even with the slow start, the process felt pretty decent. I'd say Disco is worth checking out if you're looking for a company that seems to care about how they treat people during hiring.

Sales
It was a multi-week interview process that included a panel presentation and several interviews with people in different roles. The first phone screen was a bit concerning because they said my salary request was higher than the pay band, but they mentioned bonuses could make up the difference. When I asked about bonuses, they said it was based on company performance, which didn't feel great since I couldn't control those metrics. Still, I went ahead because the role itself was interesting. I had a few 1-on-1 interviews that were pleasant and had the usual questions. The interviews were friendly and energetic. After the last interview, they said I'd hear back the next week, but I didn't. I emailed them, and they said they were still getting feedback from other candidates. Then, after all those interviews, I got an email saying they were closing the position and 'going a different direction.' They didn't even call me after five rounds. I can handle not getting the job, but at least have the decency to call. I'm not sure if they really closed the role since I saw it reposted on LinkedIn. So, take DISCO with a grain of salt. I should have trusted my gut about the initial compensation concerns. I ended up being brushed off after the final interviews with a careless email.

Curriculum Developer
It was an organized, 3-part interview process that moved really fast and smoothly. The hiring director was upfront and helpful in sharing information and keeping me in the loop about what was next in what felt like a really well-thought-out and deliberate interview process. After every interview, the recruiting coordinator would hit me up to set up the next round within a few hours, which was pretty cool. Also, everyone I met on the team seemed invested and genuinely curious about getting to know me and were just as excited to answer my questions and talk about their work. Overall, it was a great experience, and I was super happy to accept when they offered me the job.
