Behavioral Presentation

The interview process with DFS involved three steps: an initial meeting with the agency (which included English), a second meeting with the DFS contact person, and a final meeting with the Store Managers. The interviews were relaxed, and the people were nice and respectful. Even though my interviews went well, the parent company halted hiring because the store is closing in January 2025.

First, there was an HR interview to check if I'm a good cultural fit, see how I communicate, and cover basic qualifications. Then, an Excel test to check my skills with it. This involved data entry, making formulas like SUM and VLOOKUP, and making charts or pivot tables. Lastly, I had an interview with the Department Head to assess my technical skills and make sure I align with the team's goals.

The HR person A.O. was unhelpful and dismissive, initially quizzing me on the job scope before revealing details about which subsidiaries the role might cover. When I asked clarifying questions about the stores and the scope of work, she responded unprofessionally by saying 'you're really testing my memory' and directed me to their website. She also scoffed at my answer about my weakness. This initial interaction left a negative impression.

I got an email for an HR call, which then led to an interview with a manager. The HR rep gave me the wrong time, so I was late for the interview. The manager then apparently dropped out of the process and I was moved to a manager from another department. This manager didn't show up on time, so two of her subordinates interviewed me instead. The questions were pretty standard. They didn't follow up much after the interview, and I got a rejection two weeks before the start date. The company seemed really disorganized.
