The recruiter was 15 minutes late for the call and I had to call them to remind them. Even after I followed up with a thank you and an update email, they never got back to me in a timely manner. It was not a great start!

The interviewers were really nice but they did mix me up with another candidate which was a bit surprising. It felt like a very relaxed chat, not really formal questions, more like getting to know each other. They did ask me to do a design test over the weekend, which I was fine with. Sadly, after I sent the test back, I didn't hear anything from the company, not even to confirm they got it.

It was a nice experience overall. We had a phone interview that happened on the spot, and it led to an in person interview. The questions were pretty standard for this kind of job. They offered free tea during the interview. They were interviewing other candidates before me and ended up choosing one of them, but it was still an average experience. The pay is quite low though, only $15-16 for a supervisor.

Applied online and got invited to a group interview at a store. About 15 people were there for different store locations, and four managers were present. The invitation said to bring an item that means something to us. We were tested on company history and tea types. Managers gave us items sold by Davidtea and we had 30 seconds to sell them. Some people talked over others or didn't get a chance to speak. Talking about the item we brought felt irrelevant and a bit awkward, like people were trying to compete. We got a paper to fill out our availability and list our top 3 preferred stores. I had applied to a specific store, but filled out the sheet for a different one. I got an email from the manager of the store I didn't list offering a second interview, but I turned it down because it was a 30-minute drive and I only wanted to work at the first store.
