It was a full day, in-person interview held at Apsley. There were 4 different tasks: a behavioral one, a writing task, a presentation that needed to be prepared beforehand, and a group activity. All candidates were interviewed on the same day and met with various team members.

Before getting a call for an interview, I had to fill out a candidate questionnaire. It had seven questions in total. Four were about why I'm interested in the role, why I'm looking for a new job, my salary expectations, and if I'm authorized to work in the US. The other three were actual interview questions related to the job. The interview itself was a panel with two people I would be working with, and one was the hiring manager. They asked standard interview questions, but it felt pretty chill compared to other places. The interviewers were nice and easy to chat with.

It was a questionnaire, then one phone interview, then 2 in person interviews, and an excel budgeting/proposal writing test. The whole thing took 2 months, which felt like forever. They took ages to get back to me after the final interview and I found out I didn't get the job. A month later, they actually asked if I was still interested. I said yes and then got a better offer with more money, so I declined. DAI is really strict about pay, and we talked about that before the first call and before moving forward. For what they're looking for, the pay is less than average.
