Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I got recruited for this FT Campus Recruiting role via my school's career site. It was pretty standard: the first round had two junior staff members, one focused on brain teasers/mental math and the other on behavioral questions with a mini-case. The final round involved three staff members with different experience levels; one led a case interview, another a brain teaser/mental math problem, and the third focused on behavioral questions and in-depth market sizing with a partner. Everyone seemed really nice, and the culture feels positive.

Behavioral Case

The first round involved two interviewers who seemed a bit disengaged. They asked me behavioral questions, some of which were a little unusual. One of them also presented a short case study, which I found a bit surprising for a consulting firm focused on finance. The case included market sizing and brain teaser type questions.

Behavioral Technical System Design

The interview process was excessively lengthy, involving three distinct interview sessions spread across multiple days with various interviewers. A major point of frustration was the lack of timely feedback, whether positive or negative, from HR, which ultimately rendered the entire experience a waste of time. Improvement is definitely needed.

Behavioral Technical

It was a two-interview process. The first one was with the Hiring Manager, which felt formal and direct. They asked about my organizational skills and work history. Even though they recognized my experience, I didn't feel like I was going to get an offer. The second interview was with a Team Member, and it was more friendly and conversational, touching on personal stuff rather than just interview questions. Seeing the difference in styles gave me a feel for the company's vibe. I decided the place might not be the best fit for my goals and what I value.

  • When you have many tasks and little time, how do you decide what to do first?
  • Can you tell me about how you organize things?
  • What's your work history like?
