First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crazy 8.
Sales Associate
It was a two step interview process that was pretty simple. The first interview was with the manager, she asked simple questions about my experience. Then the manager brought me out to the floor and introduced me to the assistant manager. I was asked to sell them an outfit after the assistant manager pretended to be a customer. It was really fun and I loved getting to experience that. The second interview was with the assistant manager, and it was really just to get to know her as well. She asked me a few of the same questions as the manager, reviewed my resume, and essentially told me I had the job. I just had to wait for the call to confirm it which came a few days later.
- How would you handle a difficult customer?
- Can you tell me about your sales experience?
- What makes you want to work for this company?
Retail Store Manager
After submitting my application online, I was contacted for an interview. The store manager, who was new to the role, seemed a bit preoccupied. I never received any communication about not being selected, but I did observe that the person they hired didn't stay long, as the position was advertised again shortly after. There appears to be a high turnover rate at this particular location.
- Can you tell me about your experience in retail?
- What would be your approach to dealing with customer theft?
- How would you manage employee theft?
Assistant Manager
The process was super fast. I got a call about a week after I applied. The interview process took 2 days: first an interview with the GM and then one with the district manager. I got an offer a few hours after my second interview. The interviewers were very upbeat and nice.
- Can you share a positive experience you had with children?
- Tell me about a difficult customer you encountered.
- Describe a situation where you worked with a challenging associate.
Store Manager
Got a call from the District Manager about the new store manager job. Went in for an interview at the mall. Then had another interview with a different DM. After that, I had a phone interview with the Regional Manager. Finally, I got the offer and accepted it after thinking it over.
- Can you describe a situation where you dealt with a difficult customer, including how you managed it and the result?
- What would you do if you discovered an employee was stealing from the company, and who would you report it to?
