It was a standard interview for a minimum wage sales associate job. I applied, and then they called me in for an interview. The following week, they called to say I was hired, and I got put on the schedule that same week.

It was a two step interview process that was pretty simple. The first interview was with the manager, she asked simple questions about my experience. Then the manager brought me out to the floor and introduced me to the assistant manager. I was asked to sell them an outfit after the assistant manager pretended to be a customer. It was really fun and I loved getting to experience that. The second interview was with the assistant manager, and it was really just to get to know her as well. She asked me a few of the same questions as the manager, reviewed my resume, and essentially told me I had the job. I just had to wait for the call to confirm it which came a few days later.

I applied in the store and the manager had me pick my favorite outfit and then sell it to her, explaining the outfit and promotions. She mentioned her assistant manager would call to set up a group interview. The group interview had 4 candidates, the store manager, and assistant store manager. We talked about our backgrounds, availability, and interest in the job. Then we split into teams of 2 to shop for specific genders and age groups for 10 minutes. We then presented our selections to the manager as a customer, making sure we had the right sizes and knew the prices. There was a Q&A session afterward. We got a response within the week.
