First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Converse.
Digital Marketing Specialist
I interviewed for a little over a month with Converse! Everyone I met was nice, but communication from HR was seriously lacking. After the initial HR call, two weeks later I received a random phone call from a third party asking me to call back to schedule for an interview. At that point, I had heard nothing from my recruiter and had no idea I was even being considered to move forward. The rest of the process followed similarly, with the HR rep rarely in touch. I had to facilitate and email in order to get any sort of response or communication. I was suddenly rushed to have two final interviews and then didn’t hear from anyone afterwards for a week until I reached out and was told they’re continuing the final interviews that week. I reached back out again the following week to get a final answer and any feedback they had for me. I never heard back, so they ghosted me after final interviews. I hope whoever looks into working here has a better, more respectful experience than I did. As a candidate, this process really turned me off from this company. Best of luck to those interviewing and I hope you guys have a better experience, but if you don’t, know that it’s not just you!
- Which project are you most proud of?
Customer Experience Manager
It was a long process. I had many interviews with people who work closely with this role. All the interviews were remote. The people I interviewed with were not impressive and had little experience, but they thought highly of themselves. They were all very casual, wearing sweatshirts and having their hair in a bun, etc., during the interviews.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Converse and this specific role?
- How do you collaborate with teams in different departments?
Communications Intern
The interview process for this internship was quite lengthy. It involved three interviews, followed by a presentation where I had to propose a marketing activation. Despite being one of the two finalists after all that, they never got back to me and ignored my follow-up emails and calls. While I understand providing feedback to everyone is hard, when there are only two finalists and they've completed a task, some feedback should be given.
- Which magazines do you currently read?
- Who would you say is your favorite influencer?
- Can you list any other publications you follow?
Sales Assistant
I dropped off my resume as a walk-in, and got a call back a few days later. About a week after that, I had an in-person interview. It was with two people, and they asked some good questions. I felt pretty good about it all, they really seemed to listen to what I had to say.
- What are three of your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me what you know about our company.
