First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Converse.
Manager
The company and process were a bit of a mess. My application got passed around to multiple recruiters who didn't seem to communicate with each other. I interviewed over video and then went onsite. They kept mentioning people and recruiters I'd never spoken to. The hiring manager wasn't very knowledgeable and mentioned I'd need to be happy in the role because there's not much career advancement. I told them the company wasn't the right fit. Between the disorganization, lack of growth, and unchallenging work, it just wasn't for me. The salary range was decent though.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working with us?
- Could you walk me through your relevant experience?
- What are your aspirations for your career in the long run?
Manager
I had a really bad experience with their recruiters. After a 3.5 hour in-person interview, the Recruiting Manager told me I'd hear back within a week about the team's decision. But then they ghosted me for six weeks. After I kept following up, they finally said they hired someone internally. It was scary how bad their communication and effort was. If this is how the company normally works, be careful.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why are you interested in this role?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Manager
First, there was a group interview with the consultancy, and then I went to the company for interviews with various people there. The whole thing took about a month.
