First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Comscore.
Intern
The interview was online. We had to explain the code we wrote in the exam before the interview. It was a tough interview. We also had to write code live.
- Can you explain the code you submitted from the exam?
- Please write some code live during this interview.
Software Engineer
A recruiter from Comscore reached out, mentioning the hiring manager wanted to chat. We had a Teams video call; it was a nice, chill conversation where the hiring manager mostly talked about the job. The next day, the recruiter got back to me to set up a second interview. This one was more technical, featuring a live coding challenge on Codility with one Java and one SQL question. It was a decent experience, though I'd rate the difficulty as tough because the technical round was quite intense and linear; if you stumbled, it was hard to recover. The interviewer really dug for detailed, low-level explanations.
- Tell me about the core principles of OOP.
- What distinguishes an interface from an abstract class?
- Is it possible to instantiate an abstract class?
Business Analyst
Had an initial HR screening, then a 1-hour chat with a Project Manager, followed by a 1-hour interview with a VP of Product Management. The vibe was super friendly, and they didn't ask any curveballs. Mostly, we discussed my past experiences, my reasons for seeking a new role, and my overall skill set.
- Can you share an example of when you took the initiative on a project?
Client Success Manager
It was a pretty good interview process with a few rounds. One round involved a case study where I had temporary access to their platform. I had to analyze the provided information and show how I would utilize it. I was allowed to choose a topic, and the platform had built-in visualizations that were quite helpful.
- Can you share some details about your professional background?
