So the interview process for the Senior Account Executive position at Clearco was pretty straightforward and engaging. It kicked off with an initial screening call where we talked about my background, my sales experience, and why I was interested in this specific role. After that, I had a more in-depth discussion with the hiring managers. We dove into sales strategies, my previous successes, and how I could add value to their team. A big part of it was a mock sales pitch, where I had to show I could explain value, handle objections, and deal with a typical sales situation. The last interview was with the leadership team, and we discussed high-level strategy, how I'd fit with the team, and my long-term career goals. It really gave me a good sense of Clearco's direction and culture. Big shoutout to Kelsey, the recruiter, who was amazing throughout the whole thing. She kept me informed, gave me useful materials, and provided clear instructions to get me ready for each stage. Her communication and organization made everything super smooth and showed how professional and transparent Clearco is in their hiring. Because the process was so well-organized and Kelsey was so helpful, accepting the offer was a no-brainer.

I had a 30-minute call with a recruiter. They seemed nice, but I got a generic rejection email the next day even though I thought it went well. It's weird because the job was reposted a few days later, and the job I applied for was also a repost. I suspect they might be hoarding or selling applicant data, or maybe they're just trying to appear like they're growing. I'd probably skip this one.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had heard some negative things about interviews, but I was still hopeful because it seemed like the company was trying to rebuild and I'm up for that. However, the hiring process was really not great. It felt like they were just stringing me along while they already had someone in mind for the job. It started with a quick screening call, then a meeting with the manager, then a meeting with a team member, and finally an assignment. I spent a lot of time over the weekend on the assignment, but just as I was about to submit it on Monday, they told me the position was filled. When I had to reschedule an interview because I was very sick, I was told the reason I wasn't hired was a 'timing issue'. It's a lot of work to prepare for interviews and learn about a company, and I felt like my time was disrespected, especially after the first time. I was understanding because I know how tough it can be to keep things organized with candidates. I even reached out to the same recruiter for a different role, was told my application would be noted, and never heard back. It seems like there's a bit of chaos as they try to reorganize and rebuild. I gave them a pass after the first bad experience because mistakes happen. But after being ghosted twice, I felt I should share my experience.

It was a 4 step process. First, a phone screen with HR that was pretty chill, just basic stuff like "why do you want to work here?". Then I interviewed with the Hiring Manager, who's the team lead. They were really nice and asked mostly about my past experience. The next part was a technical interview with two people from the data science team. These interviewers seemed really uninterested, like slouching and resting their cheeks on their hands. One of them even laughed at me when I was having trouble with a live coding SQL question. The questions themselves were tough but doable, but the interviewers made it the worst interview experience I've ever had.
