It was a phone call lasting about 40 minutes and it went really well. She asked the usual questions and then a few extra ones that aren't as basic. She also gave me a lot of information about the company and the new position, plus some basic details about it. It was really informative and the company seemed good, but I didn't get the job.

I got to talk about my technical skills and experience. The interview went into some really deep technical stuff, like CPLEX, but the interviewers didn't seem to know much about these tools, which made it hard to show what I know. It was weird because they focused more on storytelling than actual technical skills, and the job description made it seem like technical skills were more important. My advice is to make sure interviewers know the tools mentioned in the job ad so they can actually assess candidates properly. Also, it would be good to balance the storytelling part with checking technical skills, especially for specialized roles.

Behavioral Other

I applied for the job and they replied back pretty fast. The interview was a two on one. One interviewer seemed really checked out and busy with other things, while the other one led the conversation. They also threw in a quick 'this or that' question segment. I guess they decided pretty quickly because less than a day later, I got that standard email saying they're going with other candidates.

Technical Presentation

The interview process was quite lengthy, involving interviews with three individuals: the QA Manager and two QA Leads. I was given several QA-related exams, which I believe were designed to assess my ability to follow directions and ask pertinent questions. However, the challenge was that I didn't have enough information to formulate effective questions. Although a specific time was allocated for the tests, the interviewers didn't return within that timeframe, leading me to believe the test-taker continued working until their return, which didn't work out well for me. A tour of the facility was also included. The entire process spanned 4 hours. I would have preferred to work an 8-hour shift, even without pay, to demonstrate my capabilities rather than go through that 4-hour process.
